#1 of 52 -- Brasi’s Pizzeria, Swoyersville
It's time for the first review of our new 52 in 52 series! Tonight's stop was Brasi's Pizzeria in Swoyersville. It's sort of an ode to NEPA Pizza Review, while continuing an idea that Tiff Kline started on her page last January.
Using our favorite 1-10 scale, we will review each restaurant based on Food, Service, Atmosphere, and Adult Drink Selection (if applicable), giving a final Overall score, which will be an average of the above. (NOTE: Each restaurant will be rated against other similar-style restaurants [ie. pizzeria compared to pizzeria, Indian restaurant to Indian restaurant, etc.], not restaurants as a whole.)
We got the Hot Roni (Pepperoni, Calabria Chili Oil, Honey) and the Bee Sting (Pepperoni, Soppressata, Honey) and it's interesting how two similar pizzas can taste different. Both were crispy and delicious, but the Hot Roni was more toward spicy (but not too hot) and the Bee Sting had this nice sweetness and more cheese flavor.
The owner (should have gotten his name) was friendly and helpful, even letting me know it is cash only on the phone so I came prepared (there is also an ATM on site). The place was immaculate -- something that is always appreciated!
First trip here and definitely not the last!
